Frozen Liver, Cocoa Powder, and Fennel Blend

Liver has earned its reputation as “nature’s multivitamin” for a good reason. It’s packed with essential nutrients like vitamin A, iron, B vitamins, and more, which are vital for brain health, immune support, and overall well-being. Eggs, particularly pasture-raised ones, bring equally impressive benefits to the table. They provide high-quality protein, choline for brain and liver health, and essential fatty acids that support everything from cellular health to cognitive function.

While eggs are incredibly nutrient-dense, they aren’t tolerated by everyone. For those who tolerate them well, raw pasture-raised eggs are an excellent way to boost protein intake, nourish the brain, and support overall health. Combined with liver, cocoa powder, and fennel, this blend delivers a powerhouse of nutrients for optimal brain and body nourishment.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of frozen liver (preferably grass-fed, rich in B vitamins, iron, and essential fats)
  • 6 pasture-raised eggs (for protein, choline, and essential fatty acids, acting as the liquid base)
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (for antioxidants and flavor)
  • 2 ounces of of fresh fennel or 1 teaspoon fennel seeds (this is what cracks the liver code and makes this liver smoothie actually taste good whiler also supporting digestion)
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil or MCT oil (providing healthy fats and brain energy)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (for a touch of natural sweetness)
  • Optional: 5-6 ice cubes for temperature and texture.

Instructions:

  1. If using frozen liver, ensure it’s cut into small pieces to blend easily.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend until smooth, adjusting consistency as needed by blending longer to fully incorporate the eggs and other ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately or pour into storage containers and freeze for easy thawing.
